V28-85 : ECONOMIC PROJECTS OFFICER - POST SV107

The report of Chief Executive considered the replacement of the holder of Post SV107, Economic Projects Officer, who was leaving the Council in early August.

The post dealt with a variety of critical activities within the Economic Development Unit relating to the new Objective 2 programme, as it affected the Lowestoft area, and it was considered essential that the post be filled as soon as possible to ensure as little disruption as possible to the Council's external funding and partnership work.

The Post needed to be regraded to PO1 to bring it in line with other sub-regional facilitator posts and to attract candidates of the right calibre. An increased bid for Technical Assistance would be submitted to Go-East to cover these extra costs.

RESOLVED

That Post SV107, Economic Projects Officer, be regraded PO1 and be advertised and filled.
