V28-8 : NEW POLITICAL MANAGEMENT STRUCTURES

The report of the Chief Executive provided a paper which set out the constitution, function and standing orders for the new political management arrangements. This model was seen only as a prototype and would be subject to review within the first year.

RESOLVED

1. That the political management arrangements set out in the paper "Constitution, Function and Standing Orders of New Political Structures - May 2000" be adopted for implementation.

2. That internal and external consultation on the political management structure be undertaken to feed into a review in January 2001.

3. That the draft Committee timetable for 2000/01 be approved.
