V28-78 : SINGLE REGENERATION BUDGET ROUND 6

The report of the Chief Executive outlined two applications for Single Regeneration Budget funding for this year, and the resources that had been requested by the applicants from the Council to support these bids.

A bid had been submitted by the Shaw Trust, a national charity, that covered Lowestoft and offered support for the disabled and disaffected to that they could undertaken training and take up employment. There was also a bid from Suffolk ACRE, Action with Communities is Rural England, to support community enterprise across the whole of Suffolk

RESOLVED

That the Council supports both the Shaw Trust and the Suffolk ACRE Single Regeneration Budget Round 6 bids and signs as partners to both funding applications, on the basis of the commitments outlined in the report of the Chief Executive, given that this funding does not set a precedent.
