V28-670 : SECTION 151 OFFICER AND MONITORING OFFICER

The report of the Chief Executive reminded members that at its meeting on 20 July 2000 the Council considered a report on the Organisational Review and approved transitional arrangements for the Section 151 Officer and the Monitoring Officer. These decisions now required review.

RESOLVED

1. That the responsibility for the proper administration of the Council's financial affairs under Section 151 of the Local Government Act 1972 be given to the holder of Post FA001, Head of Financial Services, until the new Corporate Managers take up their posts, and that from thereafter responsibility be given to the Corporate Manager (Finance).

2. That the Corporate Manager (Legal, Administration and Democracy) , Julian Wright, be designated Monitoring Officer in accordance with Section 5 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 with effect from the new Corporate Managers taking up their posts.
