V28-656 : EXECUTIVE MINUTES

The minutes of the meetings of The Executive held on 31 August and 21 September 2000 were brought to the Panel for members to have the opportunity to pick up on any matters they wished to enquire into, or wanted further expansion on.

Regarding minutes V28/400 Planning Application W17336, land off Belvedere Road, and V28/436, Waiting Restrictions on Victoria Road, the Vice-Chairman felt there was a clear link and knock-on effect, needing the latter to be carried out first. The Chief Executive reminded the Panel that a Traffic Impact Assessment had been carried out, and of the content of recommendation 1(c) of V28/400. The Vice-Chairman felt consideration should be given to bringing construction materials to the site of W17336 by water, if approved.

Regarding minute V28/403, Asylum Seekers, the Panel were reminded of the recent decision that the District had been considered not to presently meet the criteria for receipt.

Regarding minute V28/413, Revenue Collection, the Head of Financial Services updated the Panel on a forthcoming initiative to take the verification process to the Local Offices.

RESOLVED

That the minutes of the meetings of The Executive held on 31 August and 21 September 2000, be noted, and the Corporate Directors (Regeneration and Environment) and (Community Services) be asked to respond on the discussion on minutes V28/400 and V28/436 above.
