V28-638 : MINOR AUTHORITY REPRESENTATIVE SCHOOL GOVERNORS

The report of the Chief Executive sought nominations for Council appointed Governors of St Margarets Primary School and Meadow County Primary School, Lowestoft, following correspondence from the Area Education Manager. As no nominations were forthcoming the matters would be deferred to the next meeting.

Additionally, the term of office of Councillor Pitchers, the Council appointed Governor of Pakefield Primary School, was due to finish on 28 February 2001. Mr Pitchers was willing to be re-appointed, and members were happy to support his re-nomination for a further four year term.

RESOLVED

1. That consideration of nominations for a Co-opted Governor of St Margarets Primary School and Meadow County Primary School, Lowestoft, be deferred to the next meeting of The Executive.

2. That Councillor Pitchers be nominated as Co-opted Governor of Pakefield Primary School for a term of four years to 28 February 2005.
