V28-602 : PROPERTIES ADAPTED OR SPECIFICALLY BUILT FOR DISABLED APPLICANTS
The report of the Corporate Director (Community Services) considered the Council's policy for dealing with transfer applications from tenants who were occupying accommodation that had been specifically built or adapted substantially for a disabled person, where a change of circumstances meant the accommodation was occupied by an applicant who was not disabled, or the disabled tenant required smaller accommodation.
The Executive considered that the policy required further review and clarification to ensure that amongst other things tenants had a choice, and that this matter should be referred to the Community Services Policy Panel for determination.
RESOLVED
That consideration of the policy for dealing with transfer applications from applicants residing in specially adapted/purpose built mobility standard properties be referred to the Community Services Policy Panel for further review and clarification.
