V28-597 : MANAGED WORKSPACE IN WAVENEY

The report of the Corporate Director (Regeneration and Environment) set out proposals by Suffolk County Council for the provision of two further managed workspace developments in Lowestoft.

The Council was being asked to financially commit to a joint venture revenue and capital support package pulling down Objective 2 funds for either or both projects. The two Councils were also required to manage the centre(s) and underwrite a rent guarantee to the East of England Development Agency.

RESOLVED

That the Council participates in a partnership with Suffolk County Council to develop two further Managed Workspace projects in Lowestoft, with the Council's financial commitment to the projects as set out below to be met from the Employment Generation Fund:

(a) Phase 2 North East Suffolk Business Centre £20,000
(b) Lowestoft Riverside Development £43,750
