V28-595 : HALESWORTH TOWN TRAIL - EXTENSIONS AND DEVELOPMENT

The report of the Corporate Director (Regeneration and Environment) gave a progress update on the implications of developing the Halesworth Town Trail. A breakdown of expenditure, which had only been finalised with partners yesterday, was circulated at the meeting. The project costs were summarised as follows:

Environmental and Footway/Cycleway Improvements £226,450
Town Park £184,600
Grants (Premises Improvements) £240,000
General £35,000
Total Works £686,050

Capital Fees at 12.5% £85,756
Project Administration and Management £77,181

The only costs to the Council were in terms of Project Administration and Management over the three years of the Project, and this would be met from existing resources in the Design and Conservation Section.

RESOLVED

1. That the Halesworth Town Trail Extension Project as set out in the report of the Corporate Director (Regeneration and Environment) be approved.

2. That the Council's contribution of officer time for Administration and Management of the Project be approved.
