V28-585 : LOWESTOFT TOWN MANAGER - FUNDING
The report of the Corporate Director (Regeneration and Environment) outlined an approach from the Lowestoft and Waveney Retail, Tourism and Leisure Association seeking assistance towards establishing the post of a "Town Manager" for Lowestoft.
Members supported the proposal but wished to see the project cover the whole shopping area from the High Street to London Road South in Kirkley.
RESOLVED
1. That a contingency grant of up to £2,000 be made available to the Lowestoft and Waveney Retail, Tourism and Leisure Association towards the costs of the Town (Centre) Management project should it be deemed desirable and necessary by the Chief Executive.
2. That the grant be made dependant on receipt of Objective 2 funding.
