V28-58 : DISCRETIONARY RATE RELIEF

The report of the Director of Central Services considered applications which have recently been received for discretionary rate relief, which fell outside the policy guidelines laid down at minute V23-505/6.

RESOLVED

1. That the Lowestoft Christian Bookshop Trust be granted 20% Discretionary Rate Relief with effect from 15 April 2000 in addition to Mandatory Relief of 80%.

2. That the Lowestoft and Oulton Broad Aid and Assist Project be granted 20% Discretionary Rate Relief with effect from 10 January 2000 in addition to Mandatory Relief of 80%.

3. That the Shaw Trust Limited be granted 20% Discretionary Rate Relief with effect from 14 February 2000 in addition to Mandatory Relief of 80%.

(Councillor Hunter declared an interest in the item relating to the Aid and Assist Project and left the room during the debate, and the Vice Chairman took the Chair).
