V28-527 : HACKNEY CARRIAGE - TABLE OF FARES
The report of the Chief Executive provided two options for increase in Hackney Carriage Fares for the District, and also set out responses from the trade in anticipation of the annual consideration of a possible fares adjustment. Members felt that the 10.5% increase should be advertised, because of increased costs to the trade, and were also minded to increase the amount chargeable for the soiling of a vehicle.
RECOMMENDED
That the Chief Executive be given authority to advertise the proposed tariff changes to the Hackney Carriage Table of Fares, and if no objections are received, to approve adoption of the changes.
