V28-472 : VERY SHELTERED HOUSING

The report of the Corporate Director (Community Services) set out a proposal for a partnership approach to provide two Very Sheltered Housing Schemes, one in Lowestoft and one in Reydon. The Executive at its meeting on 27 July 2000 deferred the decision to Council to enable further consultations and a meeting with the County Council to address a number of concerns, and members received a further report to this effect.

RESOLVED

1. That support be given to partnership working between Waveney District Council, Suffolk County Council, Orwell Housing Association and the Housing Corporation to enable the provision of Very Sheltered Housing Schemes in Lowestoft and Reydon.

2. That the Council, with the partners to the scheme, have 100% nominations rights.

3. That the Council, together with the partners to the scheme, consult with residents to establish their individual wishes.
