V28-456 : BEST VALUE PERFORMANCE PLAN 2000/01 - CONSULTATION

The report of the Corporate Director (Corporate Resources and Policy) outlined a design for the consultation on the next Best Value Performance Plan. The mixture of methods proposed conformed with the Council's Consultation Policy. The Chief Executive advised that the measures would allow the consultation to be brought forward to November 2000 from February 2001.

Members asked if the Area Forums would be utilised in the consultation. The Chief Executive advised that they would not be up and running in time for this year's Plan, but would be utilised in future years. In response to members concern on previous experience, the Chief Executive explained the format that the Focus Group was likely to take. The Panel would be advised of the Focus Group's constitution when finalised.

RESOLVED

That the proposals for consultation on the Best Value Performance Plan 2000, as set out in the report of the Corporate Director (Corporate Resources and Policy), be adopted.
