V28-420 : ELECTORAL REGISTRATION - POSTS ER103/104 TEMPORARY CLERICAL ASSISTAN

The report of the Chief Executive outlined the need to appoint two temporary Clerical Assistants for a period of six to eight weeks on scale 1/2 to assist with the Council's statutory obligation to produce a new Electoral Register each year.

In order to ensure these persons were in position by the start of September, and in light of the August recess, the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Chairman, agreed that these two posts should be advertised and filled.

RESOLVED

1. That the action of the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Chairman, in advertising and filling Posts ER103/104, Clerical Assistants, for a temporary period of six to eight weeks, be confirmed.

2. That the Chief Executive be authorised to appoint Posts ER103/104, Clerical Assistants, for a temporary period of six to eight weeks, on an annual basis to assist with the production of the Electoral Register.
