V28-41 : DRAFT OUTLINE OF WORK 2000/01

The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services presented a programme of definite work for the Panel, although timings could change. The Director of Community Services also circulated a programme of scheduled work at the meeting. The Chief Executive added that the Panel had been requested by The Executive to review the Council's Housing policies in order to delegate the routine decisions previously made by the former Housing Sub-Committee to the appropriate Head of Service.

The Chairman reminded the Panel that the remainder of the agenda for the future was very much for members to set. He asked that other items be requested in writing and they would be programmed in. Members asked that a copy of the existing Housing Capital Programme be sent to the Panel. A brief round the table session saw the following other issues mentioned: Bowls; Play Areas; Sheltered Housing; St Peters Court; and Leisure Facilities.

RECOMMENDED

1. That the draft programme of work as submitted by the Director of Housing and Environmental Services and Director of Community Services be approved.

2. That the Head of Housing draft a scheme of delegation of routine housing decisions for consideration at the next meeting.
