V28-404 : SOUTH LOWESTOFT INDUSTRIAL ESTATE - ADOPTION OF ROADS PROGRAMME
The report of the Corporate Director (Regeneration and Environment) reminded members of the decision to bring the roads and sewers on the South Lowestoft Industrial Estate up to the required standards for adoption.
The works included under phase two had been satisfactorily completed, however, during the course of reconstructing the footpaths the adoption standards had been revised which led to additional works of 22k. This sum had been included in the Other Services Capital Programme approved by The Executive on 6 July 2000.
Phase three comprised the remaining roads of Cooke Road, Cooke Close and Barley Way which required works to the carriageway only, and a sum of £80k had been included in the 2001/2002 Capital Programme
RESOLVED
1. That the additional cost of £22k on phase two of the adoption of roads programme for the South Lowestoft Industrial Estate due to a higher standard of footpath specification be approved.
2. That the expenditure of a further £80k to complete the remaining works to allow Cooke Road, Cooke Close and Barley Way to be formally adopted by Suffolk County Council be approved.
