V28-388 : POST HH201 - SENIOR MAINTENANCE OFFICER

The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services outlined the need for a replacement Senior Maintenance Officer in the Housing Division, which had been vacant since the end of February 2000.

The department had altered the way the service was delivered by moving away from programmed maintenance and putting a greater emphasis on planned improvements. It was important that this officer was employed as soon as possible to integrate the Responsive and Planned Maintenance teams and release overstretched officers in the Responsive Maintenance team.

RESOLVED

That Post HH201, Senior Maintenance Officer, be advertised and filled with immediate effect.
