V28-385 : ICE CREAM CONCESSION - EAST POINT FAMILY GOLF

The report of the Director of Community Services dealt with a request from Pleasure & Leisure Corporation Plc (P&L), who operated the new East Point Family Golf Garden on Royal Green, Lowestoft, to sell ice cream from the golf entrance kiosk, and to site a mobile kiosk in front of the Golf Garden, selling beach goods and offering deckchairs, windbreaks etc. for hire.

P&L had offered a payment of £1,500 for each license on a trial basis for the rest of this summer season, to end on September 2000. The total gross sum of £3,000 would be paid into the existing Seafront Concessions budget.

RESOLVED

1. That Pleasure & Leisure be granted permission to sell ice-creams from the existing Golf Garden Kiosk on a trial basis to the end of September 2000, for a fee of £1,500.

2. That Pleasure & Leisure be granted permission to site a mobile kiosk to the front of the Golf Garden, selling beach goods and offering deckchairs, windbreaks etc. for hire on a trial basis to the end of September 2000, for a fee of £1,500.
