V28-372 : WHITTON GREEN AND MEADOW PRIMARY SCHOOLS SAFELY TO SCHOOL PROJECT

The report of the Director of Community Services set out proposals to install a number of physical measures at the above schools as part of the Safely to School project.

These proposals were as a result of public consultation with residents and parents and had the backing of the schools and police. Where practical the views and suggestions of residents and parents had been taken on board.

RESOLVED

1. That the following physical measures be implemented at Meadow Primary School as part of the Safely to School Project, as set out in the report of the Director of Community Services:

(a) proposals described in 2.2(i);
(b) proposals described in 2.2(ii) with a reduced sized flat topped speed table; (c) the adoption of the rear access behind 128 to 152 Carlton Road, subject to agreement with the residents.

2. That physical measures be implemented at Whitton Green Primary School as part of the Safely to School Project, as set out in paragraphs 3.2 (i) and (ii) of the report of the Director of Community Services.
