V28-37 : INCREASING VOTER PARTICIPATION WORKING PARTY

The report of the Chief Executive advised that the above Working Party was established under the Council's previous political structure to review procedures for electoral registration and elections and to increase voter participation.

The Chief Executive now felt the work of the Working Party could be covered by this Panel, with any specific issues being considered by a nominated smaller group of members of the Panel as the need arose.

RESOLVED

That the Increasing Voter Participation Working Party not be reconstituted, but its work be carried out by this Panel in future.
