V28-356 : PERIODIC ELECTORAL REVIEW OF WAVENEY DISTRICT COUNCIL

The report of the Corporate Director (Corporate Resources and Policy) detailed responses to the public consultation on the above. Since writing the report a further response had been received from Frostenden, Uggeshall and South Cove Parish Council in favour of Option 2. However, during consultation no major new proposals or amendments had been suggested.

The Panel were asked to consider the responses and make an appropriate recommendation to the Local Government Commission. As the opinions arising from consultation were diverse, members felt a recommendation embracing all four options should be sent to the Commission.

RESOLVED

That options 1, 1A, 2 and 2A for the electoral review of Waveney, as set out in the report of the Corporate Director (Corporate Resources and Policy), together with responses received to consultation, be commended to the Local Government Commission as the Council's response.
