V28-347 : SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL DRAFT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN

The report of the Corporate Director (Regeneration and Environment) advised that a consultation draft of the above plan had been received from Suffolk County Council with a closing date for comments of 1 September 2000. Due to the deadline for comment, officers had responded with a preliminary view which members had the opportunity to amend.

A summary of the Plan's objectives and proposed action list was attached to the report, and respondees had been requested to rank the objectives. Members ranked the objectives individually, and the results would be passed on to the County Council.

RESOLVED

That the Council's response to the Suffolk County Council Draft Economic Development Plan outlined in the report of the Corporate Director (Regeneration and Environment) be received, with the addition that members would like the differences within the County, in particular deprivation in Waveney, to be given recognition in line with the Suffolk Development Agency's Strategy.
