V28-331 : AUDIT COMMISSION REPORT ON ECONOMIC REGENERATION
The Chairman had asked for the Audit Commission Report on Economic Regeneration to be included on the Agenda.
The Audit Commission's report reviewed current practice and identified how local authorities and their partners could improve the effectiveness and focus of their activities. Since a report to the Economic Development Sub-Committee on 11 November 1999, the Council had begun to address how services that impact on regeneration could be brought together as an Environment and Regeneration Directorate.
RESOLVED
That the Audit Commission Report on Economic Regeneration be received.
