V28-31 : WORKING PARTIES AND PANELS
The report of the Chief Executive provided a list of Working Parties established under the Council's previous political structure, the work of which now fell under the remit of this Policy Panel.
With the exception of the Residents' Parking Working Party, members felt that the work of the others could be done by this Panel, with specific issues being considered by a nominated smaller group of members of the Panel as required.
As a lot of work was currently being done on the new Waveney Local Plan, the Panel would need to give some time to this. This would necessitate extra meetings of the Panel to consider the various topic papers.
RESOLVED
1. That the Chairman plus appropriate ward members be appointed to the Residents' Parking Working Party for 2000/01.
2. That the work of the following Working Parties and Panels set up under the Council's previous political structure now be covered by this Policy Panel:
(i) Local Agenda 21 Working Party
(ii) Anti-Poverty Strategy Working Party
(iii) Single Regeneration Budget Working Party
(iv) Triangle Market/High Street Working Party
(v) Transportation Working Party
(vi) Weight Restrictions in Oulton Working Party
(vii) Great Eastern Linear Park Working Party
(viii) On-Street Disabled Parking Panels
(ix) CCTV Working Party
(x) Suffolk Acre Community Action Plans
(xi) Waveney Local Plan Panel
