Application for sub-division of special needs accommodation to form four bedsit units in lieu of two existing units.

The report of the Corporate Director (Regeneration and Environment) set out an application to provide four self-contained units at the above where previously there had been four bed sitting rooms with shared shower and kitchen facilities. Objections had been received, but this was probably because of the description of the application as providing four bedsits when in fact they would be four self contained units.

The resulting units would not intensify the use as the building would still be in use as originally granted, as a shared house with no more than seven people. The Director recommended approval.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W16142/2.
