V28-277 : W12820/13 - SITE TO WEST OF CHURCH, NEW CUT/QUAY STREET, HALESWORTH
Application for the construction of a cottage.
The report of the Head of Planning advised that the above application site was an irregularly shaped piece of land. A previous application to erect a dwelling on the larger part of the wedge was refused because of the adverse impact on the conservation area. The present application was to erect a dwelling on the narrowest part of the site fronting New Cut. The two bedroom dwelling and garage were well designed, but the site, at only nine metres wide, was very cramped and the development was very close to adjacent residential property and a church which was a Listed Building. The Head of Planning recommended refusal. RESOLVED
That planning permission be refused to application W12820/13.
