Application for the construction of five detached dwellings with garages.

The report of the Head of Planning reminded members that the above application had been deferred at the last meeting of the Panel for negotiation of a more appropriate layout on this main entrance road to the town, in particular to achieve a more open aspect to the development. The applicant had remedied the situation by moving the garage serving plot 1 further from the site entrance, so increasing visibility into the site. The plot 5 house and garage had also been moved closer to the eastern boundary, increasing the distance between dwellings on the site and reducing the sense of enclosure. The Head of Planning recommended approval.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W1957/2.
