V28-185 : W1957/2 - SEVEN ACRES, 100 LONDON ROAD, PAKEFIELD
Application for construction of five detached dwellings with garages.
The report of the Head of Planning advised that outline permission had been granted for five dwellings on the above site in July 1998. The application now before members was for agreement of the detailed scheme, but the Head of Planning felt the scheme, although attractive and of high quality, would not be right in this location on the entrance to the town. The Head of Planning suggested that at outward-facing scheme would be preferable to the proposed inward-facing cul-de-sac, and recommended deferral for negotiation of a more acceptable layout.
Before commencement of the debate Councillor Thorne declared that he had received a telephone call from the applicant.
RESOLVED
That consideration of application W1957/2 be deferred for negotiation of a more appropriate layout on this main entrance road to the town.
