Application for single and two storey extension and alterations.

The report of the Head of Planning outlined an application to replace the two storey extension on the above semi-detached dwelling and to extend it into the garden by 5.9 metres and to increase the depth of the existing flat roof extension. The proposal would impact on the amenity of the neighbouring property.

A smaller extension had been negotiated which reduced the depth of the two storey extension and lessened the impact on the neighbour, and would result in an extension more in keeping and scale with the original dwelling. The Head of Planning recommended that he be given delegated authority to approve the details of this smaller extension.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W17538, and that the Head of Planning be given delegated authority to grant planning permission to an amended application involving a smaller extension.
