W7890/2 - OAKLEIGH FARM BUILDINGS, BACK LANE, LOUND

Outline application to construct an agricultural worker's dwelling.

The above applications were considered together as they were potentially linked.

The report of the Head of Planning advised that High Bank was located to the east end of Back Lane, and was subject to an agricultural occupancy condition. The property had been marketed for over two years at a reduced rate of 40% of the full market value with no success.

Application W7890/2 was for a new agricultural workers dwelling at the other end of Back Lane. The applicant felt the building needed to be close to where his agricultural machinery, livestock etc were located, and his existing property was too small for his family.

Both applications were recommended for approval, but the Director felt that members may wish to see for themselves the potential for the applicant for the new dwelling to make use of the dwelling at High Bank. For this reason he recommended that a site meeting take place.

RESOLVED

That a site visit take place at the location of applications W8208/4 and W7890/2.
