V28-150 : W11123/33 - LAND SOUTH OF SWALLOWFIELDS, CARLTON COLVILLE

Application for construction of 69 dwellings with associated works, garages, parking and open space.

The report of the Head of Planning had been deferred at the last meeting of the Development Control Committee pending the results of the Anglian Water model for Kirkley Stream. The site was part of the wider area of the Bloodmoor estate. A letter had only recently been received from Anglian Water and was circulated to the Panel.

The letter stated that it would be necessary to provide on-site storage to ensure that downstream properties were not adversely affected. Anglian Water had also advised that on- site attenuation measures would be required in the form of over-sized pipes, and the Head of Planning recommended approval of the development on the basis of that advice.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W11123/33, subject to the provisos mentioned in the original report of the Director of Planning and Building Control and to agreement on additional drainage works as advised by Anglian Water.
