V27-998 : LOWESTOFT TENNIS DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE - REVENUE GRANT 1999/2000
The report of the Director of Community Services outlined a scheme proposed by the Suffolk Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) to create a partnership structure for the development of tennis in the District. The partners in the scheme would be the Council, the LTA, the Denes High School Pyramid and the Gunton Park Tennis Club.
The scheme would involve the appointment of a co-ordinator, and it was proposed that both the LTA and the Council contribute to fund the co-ordinator, the Council's contribution being £500.
RESOLVED
That a Leisure Revenue Grant offer of £500 be made to the Suffolk Lawn Tennis Association in support of the Lowestoft Tennis Development Initiative.
