V27-995 : HEART OF SUFFOLK RECREATIONAL TOURISM PROJECT

The report of the Director of Community Services advised that Heart of Suffolk Recreational Tourism Project (HSRT) was granted funding support by the Council in July 1998.

The promotional launch of the Project was scheduled for April 2000, and in order to gain maximum publicity it had been proposed that each District have its own launch. In Waveney a team of cyclists and ramblers including Council members and officers would set off from Bungay and meet at St. Peter's Brewery.

RESOLVED

That approval be given for the promotional launch of Waveney's Heart of Suffolk Recreational Tourism Project to go ahead, and that the Tourism Marketing & Development Officer be authorised to approach members to recruit volunteers for the cycling or rambling teams.
