V27-973 : MARITIME HERITAGE PROJECT

The report of the Honorary Curator informed members of a visit made to the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club in September concerning the above Project, the aim of which was to have a Heritage Centre on the former Co-op site on Riverside Road, with quay space for historic vessels.

The Trustees raised several issues relating to the progress of the feasibility study of this Project, including the appointment and role of staff, and also the potential for the employment of a District Curator. Due to the departure of the officer dealing with these matters, the Head of Tourism and Leisure would be asked to write to the Trustees addressing these issues.

RESOLVED

That the Maritime Heritage Project report of the Honorary Curator be received.
