V27-963 : SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING GUIDANCE: CODE OF PRACTICE FOR SECTION 106

AGREEMENT OBLIGATIONS IN CONNECTION WITH PLANNING PERMISSIONS

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control included a County Council report adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) on 9 December 1999.

The SPG affected not only the County Council but also all Suffolk Districts. The purpose of the report was to seek resolution by the District, to align with the County and all other Suffolk Districts, in order to achieve a consistent, more robust, approach to negotiations on Section 106 Agreements, with particular reference to "planning gain".

RESOLVED

That the Code of Best Practice on Section 106 Agreements be adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance.
