V27-962 : CAPITAL FUNDING FOR FOOTWAY LIGHTING

The report of the Director of Community Services presented various options for use of the remaining £17,000 of capital funding for footway lighting.

RESOLVED

1. That £7,000 of the existing Footway Lighting capital budget be allocated to begin a programme of replacing lanterns on The Esplanade, Lowestoft, with lanterns more appropriate for the "Dark Skies" policies and better suited to resist vandal attacks.

2. That £10,000 of the existing Footway Lighting capital budget be allocated to progress replacement and extend life of the Council's concrete lamp columns.
