V27-961 : BRIEF FOR THE REVIEW OF THE WAVENEY LOCAL PLAN

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control set out the background context for the Brief for the Review of the Waveney Local Plan. In particular the Brief highlighted the estimated costs of undertaking the work and consultation arrangements.

In view of the timescale, the Chairman had endorsed the consultation arrangements in advance of this meeting. This related particularly to the inclusion of a questionnaire in the Council's "In Touch" Newsletter.

In relation to the costs, the Chief Executive advised that further cost may be incurred at the time of the Public Inquiry if the Legal Section had to appoint additional resource.

RESOLVED

1. That the Brief for the Review of the Local Plan be approved as a basis for preparing a revised Waveney Local Plan.

2. That the action of the Director of Planning and Building Control, in consultation with the Chairman, in authorising the arrangements for consultation as set out in the Brief, be confirmed.
