WAVENEY SPORTS AND LEISURE CENTRE

The report of the Director of Community Services detailed a proposed programme for the replacement of the cubicles at Waveney Valley Pool, and the filter, boilers and sports hall floor at the Waveney Sports and Leisure Centre. It also identified the revenue implications in respect of income loss and examined the potential of securing external funding towards the costs of replacing the sports hall floor.

RESOLVED

1. That the proposed programme for replacement works at Waveney Valley pool and the Waveney Sports and Leisure Centre, as detailed in the report of the Director of Community Services, be approved, and that capital programme be adjusted accordingly.

2. That a consultant be employed to assess the feasibility of a Combined Head and Power Unit at the Waveney Sports and Leisure Centre.

3. That a lottery application be made to Sport England seeking a grant towards the cost of replacing the sports hall floor at the Waveney Sports and Leisure Centre.

4. That a payment of £20,000 be made to Waveney Contract Services in respect of income loss this financial year for the replacement of the changing cubicles at Waveney Valley Pool and the filter at the Waveney Sports and Leisure Centre.
