V27-892 : OBJECTIVE 2 ANNOUNCEMENT
The report of the Chief Executive provided an update on the current position of the Council's Objective 2 submission for designation to the European Commission, and identified the action points that needed to be raised with the area's MP to ensure maximum usage of the designation.
RECOMMENDED
That the UK Government support for Objective 2 designation be welcomed, and that Bob Blizzard MP, John Gummer MP, and Richard Howitt MEP be invited to a meeting to discuss the action points identified in the report of the Chief Executive.
