V27-855 : W8840/2 - LAND AT UNION LANE, OULTON STREET, OULTON - BREACH OF COND
The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control was considered as a matter of urgency, under the statutory provision accorded to the Chairman, as urgent action needed to be taken to secure the re-planting of removed trees.
The report advised that Condition 4 of planning permission W8840/2 concerned the retention of trees and hedges. The owner had, however, been caught in the process of clearing the site, and before officers could stop the work at least 15 trees within the area protected by this Condition had been removed.
The removal of the trees was completely unnecessary and had resulted in important screening being lost on the northern and western boundaries. A Breach of Condition Notice should therefore be served and the owner required to submit a detailed re-planting and landscaping scheme to replace the trees.
RESOLVED
That the Chief Executive be authorised to take action to repair the breach of Condition 4 of application W8840/2.
