Application for placement of Millennium beacon brazier.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control concerned a District Council application for a Millennium beacon brazier consisting of a metal brazier set on top of a square timber post 4.25 metres above ground level. It would be located in the centre of Royal Green and was likely to remain in place for future use and as a tourist attraction. The brazier was acceptable in planning terms and would have no adverse impact on the surrounding area. The Director recommended approval.

RESOLVED

That for the purposes of paragraph 4(5) of the Town and Country Planning General Regulations 1976, deemed planning permission be granted to application W17398.
