Application for placement of Millennium beacon brazier.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined a District Council application for a Millennium beacon brazier which would consist of a timber post, steel shield and basket with an overall height of 5.7 metres. The brazier would be visible from Saxon Way and provide a good focal point within Halesworth Town Park. It would have little adverse impact provided it was not located under the power lines, and the Director recommended approval.

RESOLVED

That for the purposes of paragraph 4(5) of the Town and Country Planning General Regulations 1976, deemed planning permission be granted to application W17405.
