Application for single storey front extension.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined an application for an extension on the above semi-detached house which was in an area characterised by a mixture of house types and styles. The extension would measure 2.7 metres deep by 3.4 metres long, and would provide a disabled toilet and porch.

Although this was a prominent house with an open plan front garden it was considered that this large porch extension, to provide for the needs of a disabled person, was acceptable and would make the plain fronted dwelling more interesting. The Director recommended approval.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W17394.
