V27-810 : CCTV ON COUNCIL ESTATES

The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services informed members that the Council's recent bid to expand CCTV provision including a fixed camera at Whitton Green and a mobile camera, initially for Hollingsworth Road, had been unsuccessful. At the recent Housing Sub-Committee meeting, members requested consideration of funding further CCTV cameras from the Housing Capital Programme. The advice of the Director of Community Services was to utilise fixed cameras, as mobile cameras were subject to ongoing evaluation.

RESOLVED

That £17,000 be included in the Housing Capital Programme for the provision of a fixed CCTV camera at Whitton Green, Lowestoft.
