V27-776 : MINOR PROJECT CAPITAL GRANT - WANGFORD AND HENHAM PARISH COUNCIL

The report of the Director of Community Services set out an application from Wangford and Henham Parish Council for a Minor Project Capital Grant towards the purchase of additional play equipment for the childrens playground at Wangford.

The total cost of the equipment was £3,326 and a grant of 25%, £832, was being sought. The balance would be raised by the applicants through their own fundraising and donations. Inspection and approval of the installation had been carried out by the Council's engineer and the application could now be supported.

RESOLVED

That a Minor Project Capital Grant offer of £832 be made to Wangford and Henham Parish Council for the purchase of specified new play equipment, subject to the grant not being released unless the full funding package is achieved.
