V27-771 : CCTV IN THE HIGH STREET, LOWESTOFT

The report of the Director of Community Services advised that the contract for the provision of three new CCTV cameras in the High Street, Lowestoft had been awarded to Photoscan Systems Limited.

Due to Oftel regulations the transmission would be omitted from the Photoscan Contract and awarded to British Telecom direct. This direct procurement of British Telecom services technically conflicted with standing orders, and the award of this part of the contract needed to be confirmed by Committee.

RESOLVED

That, in accordance with the provisions of Standing Order 6.10, the action of the Director of Community Services, in consultation with the Chairman, in awarding the provision of transmission from the new CCTV cameras in the High Street, Lowestoft, direct to British Telecom, be confirmed.
