V27-759 : ON-STREET PARKING PLACES FOR DISABLED PEOPLE
The report of the Director of Community Services considered the implementation of the County Council's policy, as Highway Authority, for providing on-street parking places for disabled people in residential areas, within Lowestoft.
A number of factors would be considered in determining the provision of a parking bay, and the policy allowed for the applicant to appeal to a panel of members.
RESOLVED
1. That the Suffolk County Council on-street parking places for disabled people in residential areas policy be adopted and its effectiveness monitored.
2. That an On-Street Disabled Parking Panel be established to consider appeals regarding the provision of on-street parking places for disabled residents.
3. That Councillors Cherry, Cracknell and Graham be appointed to the On-Street Disabled Parking Panel, and attendance be authorised as an approved duty.
