V27-75 : LEISURE REVENUE GRANT - PERFECT PITCH

The report of the Director of Community Services outlined a request from the Halesworth Middle School Parent Teachers Association for grant aid in support of "Perfect Pitch", a day long event celebrating youth music.

Conditional grant offers of £1,000 from Suffolk County Council and the Community Development Agency and £500 from the Adnams Charity had been secured, and the organisers were currently seeking support from local businesses. The applicants were seeking a grant of £500 from the Council, and it was proposed that the application be supported and paid from the unallocated budget for Leisure Revenue Grants 1999/2000.

RESOLVED

That a grant of £500 be made to the Halesworth Middle School Parent Teacher Association towards the organisation of the musical event, "Perfect Pitch", to be met from the unallocated budget for Leisure Revenue Grants 1999/2000.
