V27-74 : HALESWORTH ALL WEATHER SPORTS PROVISION

The report of the Director of Community Services provided an update on the project to create an all weather sports facility for Halesworth and District. The total cost of the scheme was now likely to be in the region of £500K.

The report considered the Council's role in the project, and asked members for guidance on the level of charge that the Council should make for the provision of architectural services should the project leaders wish to engage the Council to provide the technical management of the project.

RESOLVED

That, should the Council be asked to provide technical professional services for the scheme to create an all weather sports facility for Halesworth and District, the Director of Community Services be authorised to negotiate a charge lower than the full commercial rate for the service.
